Current Breakdown of Responsibilities:* Collaborate with Engineering teams and GE's International Trade Compliance team to draft Export Authorization requests from the USG.* Maintain list of current valid Export Authorizations within the Engineering Department* Manage the use of Export Authorizations by adding/removing technology and end users to an authorization.* Work with Engineering teams to review current Export Authorizations and amend/edit requests to reflect scope changes* Educate end users of an Export Authorization on the limitations of the Authorization* Lead the Engineering Depart Export Compliance Council to flow down Export requirements, hold lessons learned, and answer questions that department export leads may have.* Conduct integrity concern reviews associated to Export Control.* Manage Access Requests for users to view controlled technology* Support compliance team when tagging GE Technology for Export Regulations (Assigning Export Classifications)* Develop and Educate users on Technology Control Plans. Provide risk-based analysis and critical decision making in the transformation of cybersecurity regulatory and contractual obligations into technically actionable content applicable to the GE Aviation cyber and business environment, ensuring that compliance is achieved and assured while enabling the business to achieve all operational and financial goals. My time at 84.51° was spent working with the Platform Services / DevOps team. I focused mainly on helping the team automate some tasks, and look into space consumption of some of the environments within 84.51°. During my Co-Op I was able to automate the task of checking daily backups but utilizing bash scripting to send out an E-mail to the team when a back-up file is: too small, has an extra entry, or did not back up the previous night. I was also introduced to different softwares and platforms including: Pivotal Cloud Foundry, TeamCity, GitHub, and Artifactory. Some of my focus was spent on analyzing Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Artifactory determining ways to reduce space consumption. Working with Prometheus and Grafana I built visualization dashboards with different metrics of concern for the Platform Services Team which allowed them to get quick insights on the state of our foundation. I spent my last weeks learning Python, and getting a project going that will ultimately help further reduce space consumption. Show less

Based off of the 20 Controls recommended by the Center for Internet Security, I am helping research and implement new solutions, ways of thinking, and training the workforce to help improve the security of our Network. I am the lead on our Vulnerability Management Solution and have started testing on using Nessus as our scanner with vulnerabilities already found and solutions delivered. As a senior operator I was responsible to run all pieces of equipment on our floor. I operated glass smelters, ball mills, and spray dryers to produce glass flux. I also operated shar mixers, and 3-roll mills in order to create a uniform end product. Consistent product was a main goal at GCC and so utilizing calibrated equipment correctly is essential. As part of the staging process, weighing raw products correctly is imperative to prevent the production of bad products. I was responsible for starting new patients with scans and molds of their mouth, and placing the braces on the teeth. Educating the patients was a big part of the job and ensuring that they understood how to clean and maintain their braces allowed for shorter time in braces. I also adjusted, and fixed braces when patients came in or had problems. The most satisfying and enriching part of the job was removing the braces and seeing the patient smile with their new straight teeth.
