My 30 yr.+ career has been as a Production person. My early experience is in studio production with multiple camera set-ups. This is mostly LIVE programming and Newscasts, but includes commercial production, and "live to tape shows". I worked as both a camera operator and/or floor director. Included in this are frequent LIVE remote shows, especially for the "Morning Exchange" on WEWS Channel 5 in Cleveland. For the past 25 years @ WEWS I have migrated into field production. I am now the "Commercial Production Videographer". Virtually all my work is in the field making commercials for station clients, or promos for the station. I got here by doing the occasional commercial shoot out of my studio job. That grew to be a segment videographer for the "Morning Exchange", "Afternoon Exchange" and "Live on 5". This included many "News type" live shots, but more so longer format segment type single camera live shots. Often on those "Lives" I also functioned as field producer. Mixed in throughout has always been commercial production in the field which includes 3 seasons of "KaZoo Kids at the Zoo". Kazoo was a half hour children's program done in cooperation with the Cleveland MetroParks Zoo and hosted by Mark Johnson.
