Continuous Testing LeadMattersight Corporation Mar 2014 - May 2017Chicago, Illinois, UsFrom scratch, I have been designing and have implemented a GUI and non-GUI functional test automation infrastructure that allows for non-developers, the business side, to write test cases/scenarios. By leveraging Behavior-driven development, scenarios are written in informal English, a Domain Specific Language approach. These test scenarios are then automatically run at the component or system functional testing stage as part of a Continuous Delivery pipeline driven by Jenkins. Currently testing IE8-11 and Firefox on the same code base. Each scenario is tested against each of the browsers in parallel, unless the scenario is persisting data that I can't make parallel for some reason. The testing code base is partitioned so that more general APIs are not coupled to the more specific APIs. For example, GUI APIs are more specific than non-GUI. Web Application specific APIs are more specific than the general GUI API.
