I have a TS/SCI Security Clearance. I have served in many positions during my 33 years in the Air National Guard. I am very adaptable to new technologies and work well under pressure and on tight deadlines. In the months after 9/11 I transitioned to a new position that I had to learn in a very short time. I was hired as the Unit Deployment Manager and had to ensure unit personnel met all of the requirements for deployments all over the world. At the same time I was was learning to manage the unit budget, manning document, government purchase card program and the government travel card program. More recently I was part of a team chosen by unit leadership to stand up the unit's new Weather Flight. We were the first unit in the Guard to stand up a weather flight to support the unmanned aircraft community. I took point on writing and adapting a library of Standard Operating Procedures while learning the complicated career field of an Air Force Weather Technician. I was working as an active weather technician while helping to create a working flight from scratch. I am constantly working with the other members of the flight to ensure we meet and often exceed the standards the Air Force through a series of inspections. All of this has helped to make me very adaptable to constant change.I have always had an interest in working on computers and have wanted a career working on them. However, my career in the Guard was dictated by the needs of the country. I am taking this opportunity to finally pursue the career i have always wanted. I am working through Onward 2 Opportunity to get the training and certificates that will allow me make this career move. As I follow a new career path I am moving to the Knoxville area next year to follow family. My family and faith are very important to me so this move is opening up new possibilities for me as I leave Government service.
