Design seals and electrical connectors for drill equipment made from elastomers and plastics. Responsibilities included: Providing solutions by designing products to fit within constraints given by customer application. The design process requires close communication with clients in order to further understand the problem and to possibly develop a better, more practical, solution than the client initially had requested. The products include:Seals of various geometries: Manufactured from elastomers.Bearings for pumps: Manufactured from composites materialsElectrical connectors for MWD tooling: Manufactured from polymers Aligning customer specifications with internal capabilities including material properties and manufacturing capabilities. Supporting manufacturing cells by breaking down complex processes into easy to comprehend work procedures that utilized pictures and graphics to convey information.Developing processes for our assemblies, troubleshooting issues with machining as well as injection molding, designing tooling for injection and rubber molding, managing product test lab and training new test lab technicians.
