About Eric Dishman

I'm a social-scientist-researcher-turned-healthcare-innovator-and-exec driven by and grounded in 30+ years of patient advocacy (including for myself during 23 years and 57 rounds of cancer treatment). Yep, it still baffles me, too, as to how I ended up doing these amazing things with even more amazing people at Paul Allen's think-tank, Intel Corporation, the National Institutes of Health, and dozens of non-profits and health systems.Right now, I'm doing some angel investing, board advising, and occasional projects teaching mostly healthcare organizations how to build innovation cultures through user-centered, evidence-based strategic planning. Two books are well underway: a practical guide to strategic planning and an autobiographical novel-turned-self-help book on how to achieve precision health in spite of the mess of the U.S. healthcare chaos. Also, the tomato and pepper and okra seed starts are coming along nicely!
