SAF/IA's Liaison to Congress on all matter related to Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and security cooperation. Develops new legislative authorities to allow SAF/IA to foster better security cooperation programs with our allies and partners. Also serves as the Country Director for Afghanistan and five Central Asian nations (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan) in the SAF/IA Mideast Division. In this capacity, manages Foreign Military Sales programs and security cooperation initiatives that improve the capabilities of partner armed forces in this developing, yet unstable region.

Provided defense consulting and government relations services to Fortune 500 defense companies, such as Raytheon and United Technologies, as well as smaller R&D firms.

Served as Vice President at Russ Reid, a Washington-based government relations firm. Head of the firm’s Defense Practice and provided defense consulting, legislative, and government relations services to defense R&D companies, hospitals, universities, municipalities, and international NGOs.

Congressman Dave Weldon (Fl-15)

Served on Capitol Hill as a senior aide to former House Appropriations Committee member Rep. Dave Weldon (FL). Responsible for the Congressman's defense, homeland security, NASA, science, transportation, criminal justice, and foreign affairs portfolios. From 2006-2007, served as Congressman Weldon’s designee to the Science, State, Justice, Commerce (SSJC) Appropriations Subcommittee when Rep. Weldon served as Subcommittee Vice Chairman. Concentrated on military and civil space issues affecting Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, the major employers in Congressman Weldon’s district. Spearheaded the successful adoption of numerous amendments into Appropriations Bills. Also served as Director of both the House Aerospace Caucus and the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus and was a staff leader of the NASA House Action Team (HAT) in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Congressman Randy Forbes (Va-04)

Served on Capitol Hill as the Military Legislative Assistant (MLA) and principal defense advisor to Rep. Randy Forbes, a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) and current Chairman of the HASC Readiness Subcommittee. Acted as Congressman Forbes' designee to the House Armed Services Committee. Managed Congressman Forbes’ defense, homeland security, veterans, and foreign affairs legislative portfolios. Successfully authored and shepherded to passage H.Res. 608, the Military Mail Resolution (Rep. Forbes' first bill passed on the House floor). Also served as the founding Director of the Congressional Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Caucus and Director of the Navy & Marine Corps Caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Served in the Department of the Air Force, DCS for Installations and Logistics (A4/7). Responsible for providing formal answers to Members of Congress and staff. Prepared senior-level Pentagon officials and Generals for hearings and testimony before Congress. Tracked defense-related legislation and ensured senior officials were aware of potential impact.

- Selected for assignment to the Air Staff (A4/7), the Pentagon, to work sensitive Congressional matters (AF/ILPE - IL Engine Room).- Selected for an Exchange Officer assignment with the U.S. Navy at the Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP)/Aviation Supply Office (ASO). Served as the C-130/F-5 Weapon Systems Manager for the Navy and Marine Corps C-130 and F-5 fleets and was responsible for directing the wholesale contracting, acquisition, and logistics support for over 140 aircraft. - Served as a Flight Commander in the 62nd Logistics Readiness Squadron at McChord AFB, WA. - Fully qualified Aircraft Maintenance/Munitions Officer and Logistics Readiness Officer.
