Oversees the Group's 24hr management of operations of two subordinate battalions and three HHD's acrosssix CONUS installations with a total end strength in excess of 700 Soldiers and civilians. Directly responsible for managing internal primary and special staff activities that impact and drive readiness across administrative, security, maintenance, supply, finance, safety, equal opportunity, SHARP, and medical functional areas. This includes the budgetary management and execution of $13M in operational funds.

Tactically controled nine U.S. EOD teams dispersed at six different forward operating bases with the mission to conduct full spectrum EOD operations in order to protect U.S., Coalition, Afghan Forces, and Civilians from death or injury from hazardous explosive devices. Responsible for the defeat of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and unexploded ordnance, improvised explosive devices, caches, and captured enemy ammunition. Advised the Brigade Combat Team Commander and his staff, five Battalion Task Forces, and Afghan National Security Forces on all aspects of Counter-IED operations, Unexploded Ordnance, and explosive safety. Maintains and accounts for $32 million dollars of theater provided and organizational property and equipment. Responsible for the health, welfare, and morale of 44 U.S. Soldiers and 17 Counter-IED enabler civilians.
