In October 2003 I started as an Inside Sales Rep at Boise Cascade Building Materials Distribution at our Lakeville, MN facility. As Inside Sales Rep my responsibilities were to make outgoing sales calls to our customer base to fill our daily and weekly delivery trucks, sell commodity and general line products, and work with Product Managers and Outside Sales to execute on sales strategy. In May of 2005, Boise transferred me to it's Denver distribution center. In the spring of 2007, I was promoted to Product Manager I. As Product Manager, my primary responsibilities were to maintain appropriate inventory levels relative to sales, purchase product, negotiate pricing with manufacturer partners, sell product through stocking dealer programs, develop and execute strategy on sales targets with our outside sales team, and maintain branch sales and margins for the product lines I managed. I coordinate and set up volunteer dates for the Colorado Council at Urban Peak homeless shelter for teens in Denver. Additionally, I assist in planning the MSLBMDA Annual Golf Tournament fundraiser.
