-Develop and initiate implement cost reduction initiatives and strategy, such as supplier consolidation, etc.-Involve in negotiating of favorable contracts with suppliers, optimizing supply chain processes and identifying cost-saving opportunities.- to ensure a smooth and efficient supply chain, identify and mitigate risks associated with commodity management which includes addressing supply chain vulnerability, managing geopolitical risks, and preparing for potential disruptions in the commodity supply. -Identify and evaluate supplies, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships with reliable sources of the commodities which to ensure a stable and cost-effective supply of materials. - Staying informed about market trends like commodity prices, etc., to adjust sourcing and management strategies according to changing market conditions. - Collaborate with various departments, such as supply chain, finance, and quality control, to ensure that commodities are seamlessly integrated into the company's operation with uninterrupted flow of essential Material, preventing shortages or production disruptions.- Work with suppliers, Program/Marketing ,Engineering, and other depts on NPI, FA, Mass production build and support issues due to part EOL and for other improvement in term like costs, lead-time, quality, etc. -Source for alternatives to meet requirements of form fit function, applicaiton, target quotes, etc, due to EOL/Shortage/others requests and follow up on FA samples for engineering / customer evaluation and approval. - Work with commodity, purchasing and other relevant team on vendor management activities.- Assist Department Head in complement and maintain requirements of ISO9001/13485/AS9100/ISO14001/Nadcap, etc and other duties that being assigned. - Contribute to the company risk management process in accordance with your position and duties/responsibilities.
