As a graduate intern, and full-time employee for Mission Support and Test Services (MSTS) and the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS), I worked on several projects closely tied to national security. These projects made use of my programming knowledge as well as my general background in mathematics, including developing a heat-transfer model using Matlab and CAD software, and developing analytics for autonomous pattern-of-life sensing using Python and machine learning techniques.

My responsibilities as a graduate assistant revolved around teaching, either as a lecturer for low-level classes, or as a teaching assistant for high-level classes. As a lecturer, I worked independently, designing my own assignments based on a department-supplied syllabus. As a teaching assistant, I answered directly to a professor, grading assignments and providing supplemental instruction to the students.

During the summers of 2018-2020, the Center for Academic Enrichment & Outreach at UNLV held a GRE Preparation program for undergraduates who plan on furthering their studies in graduate school. My job was to hold regular lectures throughout the summer to help students improve their mathematical abilities.
