Eric retired as a Principal in the Charlottesville office of Brown Advisory. Brown Advisory provides integrated wealth planning, investment management, and family office services to a select group of families across the United States.Prior to joining Brown, he led the Charlottesville office of U. S. Trust as Managing Director and Private Client Advisor. There, he was engaged in formulating private client strategy and guiding the wealth management activities of a ten-person team. Concurrently, he served as Market President for Bank of America's Charlottesville market, where he coordinated the cross-functional efforts of seven distinct lines-of-business, employing over 125 people.Prior to joining U. S. Trust / Bank of America, Eric was a branch manager for Smith Barney where he established the Charlottesville and Roanoke, Virginia offices. He also held similar positions as a producing branch manager for Wheat First Butcher Singer and Scott & Stringfellow, Inc. Eric’s career spanned more than 45 years of an ever-evolving investment and wealth management market. He is a graduate of Emory & Henry College with a degree in Economics and Business Administration. Married with two children, he enjoys participating in numerous outdoor activities, and has been active in civic, community, and cultural endeavors.
