Pinebrook provides Contracted Support Services (CSS) to the United States Government, specifically the Department of Defense (DoD) by providing International Acquisition training courses through NAVAIR and DISAM. My position includes creating and managing multiple databases and spreadsheets of training documentation in order to provide better career guidance to those in NAVAIR that require International Acquisition training. I also support in the facilitation of classes provided by Pinebrook and DISAM.

I set up and prepare for many of the 27 National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) sanctioned varsity athletic events, following both verbal and written direction. These events are classified into three categories based on fan attendance, small 20-200, medium 300-5,000 and large 10,000-60,000. Events are held in meeting rooms of Comcast Center, or at one of the universities nine stadiums and arenas. Set up for these events includes placing tables, chairs, sound equipment, and fan seating, as well as making sure all of the facilities are clean and functional. Preparation of events includes staging of athletic equipment and protective padding. During the events I acted as a customer service representative for the University of Maryland Athletics Department, fulfilling the needs of any fan that required assistance. During events, such as soccer, lacrosse, and volleyball I operated Daktronics electronic scoreboards. This required close attention to the referees and events happening on the playing field. At the conclusion of athletic events, I disassembled all equipment and material and stored them safely until the next event.

During this internship with a first-year baseball club I was responsible for contacting potential customers for season ticket plans, group ticket options, and special events at the ballpark. I produced $4,000 of group and season ticket sales in four months. I worked in the ticket office selling tickets to walk-in and telephone customers as well as processed group and season ticket orders. I am familiar with the Glitnir ticketing system. In addition to the standard business day, I worked sixty of our home games during the Blue Crabs inaugural season requiring work weeks between 40 and 80 hours. During home games I was responsible for being the club representative for groups I sold ticket packages to, ensuring their time at the ballpark was everything they expected it to be and more. I spent many hours communicating with fans about ticket sales and upcoming special events as well as providing customer service to our fans. I also assisted the grounds crew with field maintenance, cleaning crew with stadium cleanliness, and marketing team with both planning and execution of game-day special events that involved fans in the overall show and product that the club generated.

I rented boats to the general public, maintained a clean work area, ordered parts and made sales using communications and computer programs (Quick books, Excel, Outlook). I performed minor boat repair and maintenance.
