I have been practicing at the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD) as a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist since 2004. After graduating from the Emory University Medical School in 1998, I entered pediatric residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. After completing my residency, I conducted my fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In addition to standard fellowship training, I received a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology degree during my time at St. Jude. During my time in Norfolk, I developed a successful clinical practice, led an international clinical trial through the National Cancer Institute, became a world leader in the treatment of anaplastic large cell lymphoma, became the Division Director for Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, greatly expanded the research activities of the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Division, given numerous presentations internationally, held multiple leadership roles at CHKD, and became the Vice President for the Children’s Specialty Group (CSG). I anticipate leading the pediatric hematology/oncology division, CSG, CHKD, and EVMS to continue success and growth.
