I have spent 30-plus years as a founding partner of a small business that, at its height, achieved annual sales of $30,000,000 and employed over 250 people. My role in TLA Entertainment Group evolved several times as our industry changed and the demands of the business increased. Always eager to discover and learn the nuances of each new business model, I have come to consider myself something of a serial entrepreneur ready to tackle myriad challenges and seize opportunities as they arise.Curiosity drives me. As our company grew, I tackled the design and build of retail spaces as we rolled out our 6-store, multi-million dollar video rental chain; I developed a data-driven digital publishing model and led the company in producing bi-monthly magazines and two nationally published books; as CTO for TLA, I assembled a team of ten web developers and built an e-commerce platform that at its peak delivered $12,000,000 in annual revenue and another $8,000,000 in catalog sales.I am multi-faceted in my passions. Consumed by a love of world cinema, I travelled to film markets around the world in search of content for our film releasing division as it grew to $5,000,000 annually. I took on the mantel of Creative Director for the Philadelphia Film Society (a non-profit organization my partners and I founded) and helped build a 10-year run of bi-annual international film festivals screening hundreds of films annually to audiences of 60,000+ annually and brought in over $5,000,000 in that span.I approach every project with the same spirit of adventure that compelled me to explore the high arctic of the North Atlantic on a 33-foot sailboat with two friends in my 20s. Still the seeker, I recently completed a three-year training at the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Philadelphia, an experiential process focused on psychological theory, practicum and group dynamics.
