Software Engineer
Developed projects for multiple clients as part of the software engineering team, notably working on building a hotel room-booking application and a student registration and lookup application. Applications were developed with a focus on using the Java full-stack pipeline, with both servlets and Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) used to connect the front and back-ends. Database management was handled using MySQL queries integrated into the pipeline for full MVC application structure. Assisted in both software development and in software testing, performing bug discovery as one of my responsibilities.Initial focus was to learn the technology stack needed for project completion for future clients, which involved over a month of intense learning alongside other new joiners. After getting placed on a project, main responsibilities included both software programming and software testing, with the latter centered around performing manual testing to identify bugs. Cooperation with the other SWEs on the team was part of the day-to-day as well, with daily scrum meetings held each morning, and cooperative programming session meetings held as well.Discovered over 100 software issues across the multiple projects worked on, with each one escalated to program managers as well. Committed fixes for each of those issues quickly upon discovery, ensuring the projects stuck to the timelines set for them.

As an intern, emphasis was placed on learning to build websites using the Drupal CMS (content management system) in an Agile production environment. Both projects utilized Drupal features such as custom modules and services which were developed using PHP alongside the use of YAML config files.EverSport allows for content creators to publish articles with embedded video, and for users to browse through published articles filtered by sport. It was built using Drupal to structure the site, with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for customizing the site.Depo features a complete account creation and login system, utilizing SendGrid for email authentication when creating an account. Using PHP form modification, an additional feedback form page was added to allow users to submit feedback to admins of the site. Apigee Edge was incorporated into the site for API management, with API key security included during the login process. Part of the then newly-created Amazon Prime Now program, the primary responsibility of associates was to ensure that the product-to-customer workflow was seamless and quick, with orders expected to be delivered within minutes.
