As an analyst with Madison-Davis, I investigate banking transactions and entities using various tools to identify and analyze potential red flags for money laundering, sanctions violations, and other BSA/AML concerns.On an additional two previous projects with AML RightSource, I performed KYC/EDD reviews on domestic high-risk customers and international correspondence transactions using a case-focused approach for holistic customer review to take the case from the alert trigger stage to the SAR submission stage as demanded by each case.Tools used during investigations include OFSAA, Actimize, Fenergo, SAS, Tableau, Excel, and various external background check applications to support my findings and recommendations on case outcomes.I have a BA in Philosophy from Iowa State University, where I developed critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills that I apply to my current role. I also have an interest in database design, management, and other computer science topics, which led me to pursue a previous position as a junior software engineer at Revature. There, I worked with Java 8, Mule, and PostgreSQL databases to create back-end service applications, using agile scrum methodologies to collaborate within a development team.
