Senior Application ProgrammerPaxus For Credit Union Australia Dec 2011 - Nov 2013Brisbane Area, AustraliaAs a member of the ABACUS BAU team, my role was to support continuing 'business as usual' activities which included projects identified below. In addition to my role in the BAU space, I've spent a few months supporting the Nucleus Data Conversion project:• Package Account Project:◦ Established new processing to support a new mortgage and deposit product package. This included new batch processing, online functionality written using EGL to support ABACUS front line and loan origination systems, and supporting database tables.• Data Rectification:◦ Significant effort went into standardizing data within the existing core banking system, to ease data conversion efforts. Additional changes were made to enhance processing and system features to phase in procedural changes that are required for the new core banking system.• Nucleus Data Conversion:◦ This project includes business and functional analysis to identify data and functional mappings for the new core banking system. In addition, dozens of data extraction and conversion modules needed to be written. Change request and defect resolution, as well as process optimization were my primary tasks in this role.

Technical SpecialistPaxus For Westpac/Banksa Jul 2010 - Nov 2011Adelaide Area, AustraliaAs a member of the Group Hogan Systems Team, I'd had yet another opportunity to expand my knowledge of the Hogan applications. While contracted for Westpac I worked on the following projects:• Branch Number Rectification:◦ Expanded the Branch Number field on 3 databases as well as 10 PCDs. These changes had impacts to Account Origination, Account Maintenance, Branch Maintenance, Customer Maintenance, and Transaction processing (Both online and Batch). In addition to making the code changes within IDS to accommodate the new expanded branch number, I made the changes to the CIS, and ODS code as well.• Bank of Melbourne:◦ Project to increase parameterization throughout BankSA and St George Bank. The end result being the addition of the Bank of Melbourne brand.• General Insurance Consolidated Reporting:◦ This project was my project for the GCIS application, which is a DB2 based system for customer data warehousing. The purpose of the project was to accept new records from out insurance business partner and filter these records to only maintain BankSa, St George, and Bank of Melbourne insurance products.

Software Developer IiJpmorgan Chase (Formerly Wamu) Mar 2005 - Mar 2009Greater Seattle AreaThrough the course of several scheduled releases with Hogan ODS, I had the opportunity to interface with Hogan IDS, Hogan CIS and Hogan PAS regularly. This has afforded me a great deal of comfort with the key applications within Hogan. Here are some examples of projects I have worked on:• Address Maintenance Web Service :◦ PAS application standardization effort to streamline customer information updates. As a team member I changed the functionality of existing customer/address information update processes to be standardized across platforms. During development I recommended a process change that ended up reducing the load on the mainframe for these types of updates by 50%.• Terminal Expansion Project:◦ ODS application project that was tasked with rebuilding our Tandem terminal acquisition process to accommodate an additional 142 terminals. During the project I discovered that the new process would allow Base-24 terminals to be switched to and from Disaster Recovery with a simple PCD update. This discovery allowed WaMu to change Disaster Recovery procedures in the Base-24 space from emergency JCL migrations.• HELOC Real Time Balance:◦ A personal favorite; An ODS driven, enterprise wide, project that eliminated some exposure the bank had due to the processing of Home Equity Lines of credit. It required the creation of a positive balance file, several new transactions and the processing that went behind them. New processes for interfacing with IDS, Tandem, eCommerce, Visual Banker, Siebel 7, our consumer lending application, and our ATM network partners.• WaMu to JPMC conversion Efforts: ◦ Produced ad-hoc statistical analysis for several initiatives that were ongoing during the conversion.◦ Created new transactions, supporting processing, and reporting to accommodate “cross-company” transactions as each logical company of WaMu was converted over to JPMC.
