Promotion to Research Assistant II where I played a crucial role in the collection of ex-planted human cardiac tissue for the purposes of investigating the underlying mechanisms of contractility in different etiologies of heart failure. In this role I was responsible for the procurement of human tissue, its preparation for various scientific usage, as well as it's organization and distribution from our biobank.

Investigated the physiology of both cardiac and skeletal muscle in relation to both heart failure and muscular dystrophy. Through learned anatomy and standard operating procedures, I captured the electrical stimulation of isolated muscles from murine muscular dystrophy models. I was also responsible for the analysis of this data using tools such as LabView and KaleidaGraph, and assisting in it's presentation for scientific publishing.
