I am very passionate about the field that I have chosen as well as the path that I am taking to get there. From a fairly young age I have known that the healthcare sector was where I wanted my career to be. Through jobs I have worked to help put myself through school, along with various volunteering opportunities around my community, I have discovered a love for learning new things, challenging myself and a drive to better myself that I was unaware of when I was younger. My most notable accomplishment as of late is simply being accepted into the Fanshawe College Paramedic Program, and being given the opportunity to pursue a career that I truly care about. Skills/Accomplishments:- First Aid/HCP-Level CPR Certified- Strong communication and patient assessment skills developed through both the Paramedic Program and working at Voyageur- Computer and technology skills- Safe driving award after one year at Voyageur- Ability to adapt to changes in work environmentsWhile school and work are currently big priorities in my life I try to remember that self-care is just as important as anything else. I make sure to take time to myself to relax and decompress when needed. In my spare time I enjoy playing hockey, boating, snowboarding, and spending time with both family and friends.I think I am perfectly suited for a career that constantly evolves. One of the things I enjoy most about this is that I will never stop learning. I know this can be a very stressful job and I have been told I have a very calm and relaxed demeanor which I feel will prove invaluable when my career begins. In summary I am very excited and motivated to get where I want to be in life, and hope to be both a positive role model as well as make a positive impact on my community.
