CurrentDallas County, North Tower Jail Medical Modifications Project, Dallas, TexasHill International provided project management services for a $52 million Dallas County Jail medical modification project. Works consisted of the design, construction, and renovation of 152,000 GSF of space in the existing lower three floors of the North Tower Jail building. The basement level included a centralized medical/mental health infirmary with medical clinic space, a full-service pharmacy, and medical staff and administration offices. The ground floor comprised a 153-bed medical infirmary and radiology suite. In addition, the project involved the construction of updated space for law enforcement needs and site security, as well as a central visitor screening building.During the construction phase, leadiong and executing all aspects of the budget, scope, and schedule to ensure that Dallas County's requirements and quality standards were met. He negotiated, processed, and executed the architect/engineer and construction manager-at-risk contracts, additional services, and guaranteed maximum price proposals, disputes, change orders, and claims, as well as third-party construction inspection and commissioning services. In addition to administering and controlling cost, including approval of pay applications, Mr. Short provided project progress updates to Dallas County officers and project team members. Coordinated the quality control/quality assurance and commissioning processes, closed out contracts, and provided warranty phase support to Dallas County.
