About Eric Smith
With over 20 years in the Fire and Life Safety industry, I have been privileged to help lead the development of BHC and its underlying companies. Previous to BHC, I worked for 10 years with PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and specialized in entrepreneurial businesses. From that experience, I fell in love with helping develop businesses to meet their full potential. In addition to my work at BHC, I have been highly involved with industry associations. I served as the President of Fire Equipment Manufacturer’s Association (FEMA), which consists of all the major suppliers in the industry.Another passion of mine led me along with my family to create with Billy Owens and his family a 501c(3) organization called Turn 2 for Youth (turn2foryouth.com). Currently, we are the official charity of the American Baseball Coaches Association. To date, we have collected and distributed over 100 tons of baseball and softball equipment around the world. Our goal is to support coaches and mentors with the appropriate equipment to be involved in the life of today’s youth.
