When I was growing up I had always been attracted to helping people and making things easier for them and building a relationship. As I thought mechanical engineering would be the way to help people through science and efficient machinery, it lacked the relationship and communication aspect that I desired. After taking a role as a receptionist at an advertisement agency, I had first hand experience of how marketing works and what goes into it. After expressing my fascination of everything that goes on to my boss, she had me do some simple market research work. I quickly changed my major to marketing to hopefully pursue my career in a field that I get to form relationships, talk with clients and build their success. Update: I am loving the field I am in and the relationships I have had the pleasure to develop. Love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life. ...does that mean I'm retired?..Where's my retirement benefit package!
