Eric Sutter is a Non-Profiteer at Shanti Project. He possess expertise in program development, community outreach, nonprofits, volunteer management, social services and 24 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "I had the opportunity to work under Eric during my time as a Programs Coordinator for HIV Programs. What stood out to me from the beginning of my time on staff was Eric’s high level of care and dedication for the program and our clients. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable about program services and resources, Eric made an effort to know many of our clients personally. There are many leaders even in this field who stay high and aloof in their office, but Eric was always doing the work alongside us. He always made space in our meetings to support staff with questions about specific clients, provide feedback, and brainstorm additional ideas for client support. Eric constantly advocated for his fellow staff members, and I believe that our team really benefited from this immensely. He worked hard to increase pay for our team, and also did a great job of making each of the team members feel valued for their contributions. During COVID, Eric was intentional in creating opportunities for staff to connect and feel supported. Amidst the high level of uncertainty and change that COVID provided, Eric managed the program with a high level of thoughtful care, but also balanced that with clear direction. My time at Shanti was incredibly rewarding. Part of this was due to the clients and being able to support the important direct service and programming this organization provides. However, what makes people stay at an organization is the company culture - and the high level of long term retention in our staff speaks for itself. Shanti will continue to always be one of the more formative experiences for me professionally due to the positive company culture and quality leadership."
