Hello! My name is Eric. I serve as the Vice President of Behavioral Health and Addiction Services for Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas in Pittsburg, Kansas. I obtained my Master of Science in Nursing degree at University of Missouri–Kansas City (2015). I am a board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. My last academic endeavor resulted in completing my Masters of Business administration through Pittsburg State University (2022). My clinical background includes a combination of inpatient, outpatient, and assertive community practice. In my current clinical role I provide outpatient psychiatry which includes medication assisted treatment for alcohol and opioid use disorders. I also provide acute detox assessments for local inpatient substance abuse treatment center. I spend a majority of my administrative role supporting our program directors and provide direct support to our psychiatry staff. I am proud to be an advocate for improving access to behavioral health services in rural parts of America. I have had the opportunity to serve on several advisory committees to improve mental health care in schools, promote behavioral health access in rural Kansas, and improve access to addiction treatment services for those justice involved. I really appreciate the opportunity to provide scholarly presentations regarding the diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders.
