Eric M. Thorn is the Managing Partner of St. Denis & Davey, P.A.’s Tampa Office where he leads a team that provides legal counsel to both Fortune 500 Companies, and clients, by identifying and mitigating potential risks, preparing and negotiating contracts and establishing policies and procedure to ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws. Eric also advises clients in various areas to include: healthcare law; business law, legal compliance, employment law, medical malpractice and nursing home negligence, and copyright infringement.Eric has extensive experience in resolving complex issues involving multiple parties, and media management. In his professional practice, Eric has been involved in a variety of matters to include: corporate and shareholder disputes, medical malpractice actions, complex commercial transactions, employment disputes, construction defects, personal injury and wrongful death claims, product liability and copyright infringement. In providing legal services to business clients, Eric has also defended Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) claims and lawsuits alleging violations of the: Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Florida Civil Rights Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Employee Retirement Income Security Act, Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. Eric has also represented hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home healthcare agencies and physicians in actions involving healthcare regulations, contract disputes, medical malpractice, personal injury and wrongful death. Eric obtained his B.A. degree in Biology from Vassar College and later received a Master’s Degree from the University of Florida wherein he specialized in Muscle Physiology and Biochemistry. Eric received his J.D. degree from Stetson University, College of Law. Mr. Thorn is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts; the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
