The Deployment Branch Chief (DBC) position is responsible for the management and success of the Bureau of Information Resource Management’s number one initiative -- State Messaging and Archive Retrieval Toolset (SMART) Deployment. Information Resource Management (IRM) will leverage the Department's global infrastructure by deploying knowledge management tools. Consistent with this goal, SMART will deliver a simple, secure, and user-driven system to support the conduct of diplomacy through modern messaging, dynamic archiving, and information sharing. The DBC reports directly to the Deployment, Technical Support, and Communications Division Chief.
