As Project Manager for Bruce Matson Company, I manage, design, and engineer complex cabinet and millwork projects, and shepherd them through production and installation, including pricing change orders. We work on some of the best and most beautiful multistory buildings in Hawaii and the Pacific Northwest. Bruce Matson Company is a specialty contractor and manufacturer providing finish carpentry and millwork services. Founded in 1975 by current president Bruce Matson in Honolulu we expanded our operations and opened our Seattle office in 1999. We provide furnish and install services to general contractors throughout Hawaii and Washington and have worked on some of the largest projects in these two states. Our focus is large projects including hotels, high rise condominiums, office towers, hospitals, and resorts. We pride ourselves on using cutting edge software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Microvellum, and on having the best Union Carpenters in the area.

Custom Interiors provides on-time, quality installation of custom cabinetry,millwork and architectural metals for commercial projects.Big or small, simple or complex, exotic hardwoods or laminate -when a project calls for custom thinking, Northwest contractors call Custom Interiors. I helped guide CI to use the software that we already have to automate information flow, batch plot CAD drawings, and use Microvellum to scan and track all of the casework that we manufacture.

OGB builds the most challenging architectural woodwork projects in the region. I spearheaded the introduction of two completely new product lines, wood ceiling tiles and store fixtures. I supervised a very talented and idiosyncratic bunch of project managers, engineers, draftsmen, and trim carpenters. Every day was a mix of problem solving, people issues, and logistics, with the occasional creative activity thrown in. Recently I have been very involved with LEED and green building issues.
