Senior Project Manager
CurrentResponsible for overseeing Project Managers, Field Operations.Responsible for the performance of assigned project managers.Responsible for efficient utilization, consistency in practice, and the maintenance of quality in results for PM’s.Responsible for the utilization and quality of work from the field staff or the Superintendent management of field when consistently active.Ensures team standards and protocol are followed and consistent across assigned staff and projects.Assistant to the Division Manager in the development of standards and procedures for constant improvement in division specific topics.Holds the authority to utilize and organize assigned company resources in meeting project goals. Maintains and ensures that others maintain accurate, current, complete, and usable records for projects to measure progress and results in order to strategize around financial impacts.Review of contracts and negotiations with other divisions, contractors, and contracted subcontractors.Ensures project kick off, reoccurring meetings, and to make sure all information is available. Ensures and assists assigned staff in developing baseline schedules for projects to reflect accurate labor, material, equipment and subcontract time requirements and project constraints. Measures the baseline against actual progress and implement appropriate corrective action as necessary.Organizes project tasks in a clear and concise project plan that clearly defines all project requirements.Completes project budgets and monitors job cost weekly for accuracy.Manages budgets by comparing planned to actual project costs and by implementing necessary corrective actions.Identifies and tracks by pay items, cost codes and cost types.Develops change order proposals for all changes in scope from contract.Promotes safe jobsites and work with Safety Director to ensure all safety issues are properly addressed. Schedule and facilitate project closeout and post-job reviews.
