I made design recommendations for a mobile app by helping design and carry out user research that included focus groups, diary studies and contextual interviews.I also developed product ideas and best practices for using 3D imaging technology at National Parks by creating a panel survey on information needs and technology use.

Developed proposal for incorporating digital scans of cultural resources utilizing participatory design I spent half my time as a front-line park ranger in an ethnographic approach to understand visitors’ needs, expectations, and “pain points,” as well as the challenges faced by the park rangers. The rest of my time was spent providing technical assistance to park staff and working to develop effective approaches for designing technological products and exhibits for visitors, including how to use data to tell stories and better engage the local pueblo community.

I developed application and system level software for high definition, real-time simulators of military fighter aircraft. I designed user interfaces, created software prototypes for R&D and presented them at trade shows.As a network engineer, I performed bandwidth and latency analysis to solve network latency issues and implemented a distributed networking protocol to allow inter-operation between different simulator suite locations across the world.I lead a 5 member engineering team that included administrating software builds and their verification as well as collaborating with management and vendor contractors.I was also responsible for training clients on how to use and maintain the system through hands-on instruction and the creation of manuals and troubleshooting guides.

I designed and implemented a program that provided computer labs to 5 primary and secondary schools and an orphanage. I worked to create a technical solution and business plan that addressed a balance of the stakeholder’s needs while designing for sustainability, including contract work with school administration, installing lighting and electricity, networking, software installation, process documentation, and teacher training.I also reconfigured the network at the organization's cyber cafe to increase bandwidth and improve security.
