• Serve as liaison between General Counsel, department leaders and associates, and executives and leaders across the company.• Collaborate with and advise General Counsel in staff management of the organization including hiring, structure, personal and professional development, and performance evaluations.• Serve as key liaison to Finance, Human Resources, and Technology related to budget planning and managing, hiring and managing of legal department staff, and technology support and needs.• Support special workstreams and events including leadership retreats, department on-site meetings, town halls, CLE programming, pro-bono and community service events, and social events.• Collaborate with department leadership to strategize, prioritize, and implement business initiatives, aiding in decision-making and maintaining project momentum. • Compose internal and external communications, including scripts and interview responses for General Counsel. • Create and maintain department resources related to matter management, knowledge management, eDiscovery, and billing management. • Manage firms and vendors including expansion of new firms, billing and discounts, relationships, and outside counsel guidelines.• Serve on the enterprise-wide Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council and oversee DEI efforts at the organization level. • Manage 1 legal operations associate and 2 litigation paralegals.
