My primary responsibility at Peter Jacob for Congress is to work with and mentor a team responsible for all reach and development within communications. We develop, implement, and evaluate press plans in collaboration with endorsements and constituents. I coordinate and advise all online content creation, including digital content and copy, press releases, email blasts, and social media. This comes from a combination of accessing demographics and the political climate with engagement analytics on social media as well as circulation of earned media over time. Additionally, we develop and maintain all print and digital collateral such as newsletters and op-eds.

During my time on the Bernie Sanders campaign, serving as a Deputy Field Organizer for the New Hampshire primary, I became accustomed with an assertive GOTV field strategy. I learned how to use NGP VAN software (mobile and via desktop) and the organizational structure required of a national campaign.

BerlinRosen focuses on Public Affairs and communications for issues and campaigns in the New York City, New York State, Connecticut and New Jersey media markets. During my time at BerlinRosen I made and executed comprehensive research plans, made pitch calls to over 700 journalists and reporters, assembled over 70 press lists, gathering media clips and made media reports, create research and media fact-sheets, issue briefs, and one-sheets, and copy-edited press releases.

I assisted in the production, organization, and staffing forCory Booker’s campaign for Senator of New Jersey fundraising events, contacting over 200 attendees. Additionally, I conducted research on various policies, people, and legislation as background information and fact-checking for attorneys o Jersey. On the administrative side, I edited and proofread litigation, maintained the organization of litigation in legal software WorldDox, and organized and closed files.

During my internship with MTV Public Affairs, I assisted in the development and management of multi-platform social change initiatives for MTV, MTV2, and mtvU to empower American youth on the biggest challenges facing their generation. I pitched and wrote articles over 60 articles concerning the intersection of political news content and policies surrounding issues related to race, gender, and LGBT rights for MTV’s “Look Different” campaign’s website. Additionally, strategized and pitched content for MTV’s award-winning “Choose or Lose” campaign for the 2016 election year, along with several other politically centered campaigns. Finally, I frequent researched brand appropriate non-profits and public figures as representatives for respective campaigns, and created briefs on them in order to assist in the vetting process.

At the Teachout-Wu campaign, I pitched in wherever help was needed, however my primary responsibilities were in the communications fields. I analyzed media surrounding the candidate and wrote positioned content for earned media based on my analysis. I worked closely with the candidate by preparing talking points for live media. When Zephyr was going on tour for New York State, I helped in the planning, staffing, and organization of her New York state tour.
