Cyber Wargaming (22 months)Enhanced the cyber threat preparedness of 10 clients across 4 industries by designing, developing, and assisting in the delivery of 24 cyber war-game exercises. Served as project manager for 17 exercises, responsible for defining project timelines, forecasting and tracking against project budgets, and managing internal quality review / risk mitigation requirements. Conducted numerous interviews with client stakeholders – ranging from technology analysts to senior executives – to gain a detailed understanding of each organization’s IT environment and cyber incident response capabilities. Designed simulated cyber attacks – including scenario storylines, attack chains, and inject progressions – to create immersive tabletop exercises that enabled clients to practice, train on, and improve cyber incident response strategies.Third Party IT Risk Management (3 months)Enhanced the third party IT risk management methodology for a financial services client by identifying and resolving critical control gaps in the tool used to assess the client’s 20,000+ third party vendors. Identified opportunities to optimize Deloitte’s pricing model used to contract client vendor assessments by creating an Excel macro-based tool that automated the internal tracking and analysis of assessment financial metrics.

During a second summer with the GBS Emerging Leaders Program, worked for 10 weeks as a project manager within the Operational Intelligence COE. Led an international team in the creation of a new business intelligence data mart. Data mart was created for the purpose of providing improved analytical capabilities for complex log file data collected from Nielsen iOS panelists. Managed development and testing teams in work related to OLAP database design and ETL logic implementation on SQL Server and Netezza systems. Was responsible for all project deliverables and for the successful production deployment of the new data mart.

As a part of the GBS Emerging Leaders Program, worked as an software engineering intern for 10 weeks. Worked within the Product Engineering department and developing software for iOS platforms. Designed, prototyped, and delivered applications for both the iPad and the iPhone. Applications served the purpose of decoding and analyzing the Nielsen audio codes transmitted through television broadcasts - enhancing the toolsets of the client services, field operations, and product engineering teams. Also received training and project experience in Lean Six Sigma Business Process Improvement techniques.
