I host a weekly bar quiz at The Ale House in Hoboken, NJ, and write a weekly blog recap, where I showcase my strong presentation and organization skills, and the ability to quickly solve problems under pressure.

I acquired and edited books for Harper Perennial, and assisted executive editors with their titles. I managed a large and varied portfolio of projects, negotiated contracts, wrote marketing copy, presented in front of hundreds of people, tracked permissions, and did a great deal of editing. In this role, I displayed strong editorial and communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify market trends and audience demand.Books I've edited include Everyone’s a Aliebn When Ur a Aliebn Too, an illustrated (and intentionally misspelled) book on learning to feel less alone by Jonny Sun; Blood, Sweat, and Pixels, a look inside video game development by Jason Schreier; and Why Comics?, a history and thematic investigation of graphic novels and underground comics by Hillary Chute, which made the New York Times list of 100 notable books for 2018.

I assisted a senior editor, and later the president and publisher of the Portfolio, Sentinel, and Current imprints, while managing production for both hardcover and paperback titles.

I interned for Portfolio, Sentinel, and Current, with constantly increasing responsibilities, before joining the team full time.

I launched and managed several blogs and articles, including assigning articles to writers, developing stories, and running production timelines.

I worked in Crown’s Subsidiary Rights department, while learning about selling translation rights, audio rights, serial rights, and more. Wrote submission letters, improved the efficiency of department systems, and handled administrative responsibilities.

I performed a wide variety of tasks for the famously offbeat independent publisher, and loved being a part of such a unique operation. I designed Be A Nose! a reproduction of Art Spiegelman’s sketchbooks, involving painstaking attention to detail to make sure every tiny piece matched the originals. I proofread and fact-checked The Believer, read unsolicited manuscripts for McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern, transcribed interviews, and helped the team wherever needed.

I was responsible for designing one of the paper's main sections three nights a week, using indesign, illustrator, and photoshop.
