About Eric Stetson
Eric Stetson is a musician, educator, composer, and versatile performer. He currently serves Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School as the Music Technology teacher for grades 7-12. In addition to designing and teaching 4 sections of Music Production & Engineering, he serves an advisory role, co-leads a chorus ensemble of 50 students, and organizes and hosts open mic events. Prior to this position, he served Atlanta Jewish Academy as the Music Program Director for Early Childhood-12th grade students. While there, he re-ignited the children's chorus program, led songs at school functions, and was the music director for theatre productions. He taught Technology in Music (MUSC 1515) at Georgia Southern University while obtaining a master's degree and served as music director at the UU Fellowship of Statesboro during that time. As the Lead Music Artist at Southside Art Center, he helped adults with developmental disabilities explore creative expression through music. He also instructed artists in the areas of keyboard, percussion, guitar, ukulele, voice, and music production. While serving this role, he created and produced Southcast Internet Radio, a podcast with content created exclusively by developmentally disabled adults to serve their community. The podcast continues to this day.As the choir director at Parkside Community Church UCC, he guided the music program to reflect the congregation's mission of openness and affirmation. As a performer, he's been showcased in concerts across America, sharing the stage with artists like YouTube sensation Julia Nunes, surf guitar legend Dick Dale, and is a contributor at regional festivals, leading workshops at events like the UUA District Assembly in Oakland, and the "We Love Ukulele" Festival in Chico. He's conducted numerous ensembles, large and small, in choral, band and orchestral settings with musicians of all ages.His film scores have been featured in the winning entries from the 2010 Sacramento Horror Film Festival (Within, Liquid Jungle Ent.) and the 2011 PCS Film Festival (The Breakup, J. Bezazian Productions.).
