As the Grassroots Manager for United Transportation, I managed grassroots programs that directly accounted for a rise in constituency participation by 207% over two years. This was accomplished by rallying a strong constituency through industry events and new media outreach. I also coordinated a coalition formation including 25 transportation companies and over 35 breweries. I used informational emails, educational deliverables, and new media to update constituents, as well as utilizing programs such as Microsoft Dimensions for CRM data centered analytics and Sharepoint for project management operations.Monitoring, analyzing, and summarizing regulatory issues for decision makers prepared me for exchanges with industry coalitions, Members of Congress, and corporate professionals. Before the campaign, my director relied on my ability to communicate with individuals of all levels to act as liaison for a large corporate client list including Whirlpool, Merrill Lynch, and Ferrari.

Promoted from the Communications Specialist position, my key responsibilities included recruiting and managing a staff of three to focus on analyzing and advising constituents on healthcare policies and mandates.I handled all PAC reporting and filing, and I am still current on my subscriptions to the EBIA and Thomson Reuters guidebooks. The development of constructive relationships with key standards bodies helped keep the office current and compliant with state and federal requirements.As a manager, designing clear procedures, timelines, and expectations allowed for seamless communication throughout the office. This led to a constructive, team-oriented environment focused on achievement.

Gained association experience on Capital Hill during the height of the Affordable Care Act (PPACA) debate. I worked with the legislative team to exchange information, strategies, and goals between constituents and elected officials. This was possible through personal relationships with Members of Congress and their staff. Going to daily fundraisers, conferences, and office visits on The Hill allowed for constant exchanges of the latest industry information. I also assisted with PAC activity through HUPAC.
