Responsible for coordinating and supporting production of Etaluma microscopes which leverages a broad knowledge of product development and instrumentation experience. For the last 10 years I have been focused on improving product quality, consistency and overall performance. • Coordinating manufacturing with engineering, software development, and sales.• QC/QA. Testing for mechanical, electronic, optoelectronic, and optical systems within the microscope. • BOM development. • Documentation of production processes, focusing on continuous improvement. Creating and improving calibration procedures to enhance the product over time. • Customization for OEM usage- working with customers and co-developing custom OEM solutions.• Support for units in the field.• Working with our vendors to ensure optimal product quality and consistency, as well as constant supply. (contract manufacturing, circuit board fabrication, lens fabrication, machinists, etc.) • Working with our consultants to provide new features and capabilities.• Software testing.• Finding new applications and designing experiments to demonstrate proof of concept.• Optimizing the lamps in our microscope- sourcing and testing LEDs, etc. • Optimizing the filters within the Lumascope to improve image quality and signal to noise.

Wide ranging position- Managed all aspects of the Crystal Farm and IT for the entire organization.Crystal Farm Product Manager-• Completely responsible for Crystal Farm product.- Attended conferences, investigated new optics and features (i.e. UV), answered presales questions, etc. • Responded to all incoming support requests (worldwide) on the 50 systems installed. Went on about 1/2 of CF related service calls, and directed the other 1/2 remotely (Worldwide). • Responsible for all troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairs. Worked with manufacturing to get new parts, test and ship them to the customer, provide installation instructions, etc. Worked with service department to get new service contracts, etc.• Final testing of all Farms and all parts prior to shipment. Worked with Manufacturing to repair MRB parts and establish service stock.IT Manager-• Responsible for all aspects of IT infrastructure in a company that grew from 25 people to 180 people. This included a site move and integration of an acquired company in Switzerland, adding a second site. • Supervised 3 direct reports and two consultants.• Virtualized all servers using ESXi on 2 iSCSI SANs- Windows server 2003/2008R2- Ran DC, file server, email server, Application servers, FTP, DB servers, AV server, Terminal server, keycard server, etc. • In building move, set up all IT infrastructure- phone system, alarm, fire alarm, keycard access, Internet and phone access, wireless, network wiring, etc.• Administered firewall and multiple VPNs, as well as all networking hardware. • Worked with ~ 30 external IT departments to set up remote access to all Unistore systems in the field via VPN, tunnels, web based controls, etc. • Supported Nexus Engineering and Field Service on computer-related problems in development and on-site. • Implemented CRM system.(Nexus was spun out of Discovery Partners in October 2005)

• Ran IRORI combinatorial chemistry process- nanokans in Clevap (cleaving instrument with rotary evaporator), plateloader, washer, etc. • Ran stability tests in HF for new Clevap development• Developed QC test for the uARCS projects- enabling a way to monitor quality of 20 nL spots of drugs in DMSO.• Assisted in the development, HW and SW testing, debugging, and calibrations of the DPI Crystal Farm• Provided support for Crystal Farms in the field.

Worked to support the two main goals of SGI: • Enhanced liquid-liquid and liquid-particle separations using high voltages (electrophoretic and dielectrophoretic processes) • Refining of coal liquids into useful products.• Co-developed capacitance based level sensor for a liquid-liquid high temperature/pressure separation process.• Co-developed microscale model of separation process. • Refurbished TGA and TMA instruments, added DAQ, created test procedures.• IT manager for company- Networking, file server, Internet access, email admin, etc.
