Coordinates and expedites with Chair all hiring documents for faculty and staff personnel, and payroll transactions. Supervises office support staff. Supervises all systems of distribution, communication, and record keeping. Serves as department liaison with the College of Liberal & Creative Arts and other university units regarding budgetary concerns, faculty and staff matters. Researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations regarding the process of departmental committees; including Retention, Tenure & Promotion, and Hiring Committees.Assists the chair with all administrative tasks, analyses, reporting, problem solving, and decision making. Researches and interprets University policies and procedures to implement fiscal resource allocation, tenure-track and staff personnel decisions.
