I am a curator, arts administrator, and educator. I believe in community above all else; I believe in the capacity we all have to hold each other up, to hold each other accountable and to make the world a better place, and I believe that this work begins with our dedication to intergenerational environments and the empowerment of youth. There is so much to build! There is so much to learn. We move toward this process by inhabiting our communities with clear intention to disrupt hierarchies of education, systems of oppression and concepts of normativity.I've spent the last 8 years teaching in the New Media BFA program at TMU, helping 4th year students to contextualize their artistic practices outside the bubble of "art school" and engaging in what I like to think of as a course in future readiness— through discussion based lectures and active community building, we work together to imagine the future of what the arts in this city can look like.I work really hard to bring my whole self to work, which means that I spend a lot of time thinking and caring about:~inhabitance and environment~community and community building~accessibility and diversity in arts and educationI love to build systems, solve problems, make connections and have a lot of fun while doing it.
