In my role at the JCC I am responsible for caring for and providing a safe environment for children ranging from 6 weeks-13 years old. I have also been a supervisor in this position since October of 2019. I provide age appropriate activities and monitor interactions between the children. At the end of 2023 I was promoted to Assistant Manager where I am now responsible for helping with the administrative side of running the program and working with the team to address concerns or implement suggestions into day to day operations. I also assist around the building with other programs (including a licensed school) providing help in roles that need filled in order for days to run smoothly and provide the best experience for the children in our care.

I began working in this position during my freshman year of college. While in this position I had to stay in communication with my team regarding updates about COVID-19 protocol. I was responsible for answering phone calls and addressing concerns and questions about the University's required vaccines. I also looked over medical documents and reviewed them for required information.

During my internship I had the opportunity to build appropriate relationships and get to know the residents at Miller Home. I was responsible for monitoring screen time, assisting with evening time routines, and any other job deemed necessary by full time staff. Other responsibilities included: helping with dinner, supervising chores, and spending quality time with residents. This position was constantly evolving and it was necessary to be flexible and fill in where needed. Everyday was a little bit different but I am grateful to Miller Home for allowing me to have some in field experience.

In addition I scanned their items and was responsible for quickly and accurately completing credit/debit card, cash, and check payments. I worked with both my managers and grocery baggers to provide the best experience possible for our customers.
