Continuous improvement: each day I am searching for innovative ICT solutions with recognizable added value as I am firmly convinced that ICT can make a difference. Even stronger: in today’s world a digital strategy is part of almost every business model and needs to be verified/updated frequently as technology changes at a dazzling speed. I work as an inventive manager with a helicopter view which allows me to get a quick overview of complex projects (technical / functional) and required change management. This helps me to bring these challenges to a successful conclusion, with an antenna for the (hidden) interests, motivations and relationships of stakeholders. Being able to forge a strong team from capable professionals (from various disciplines and departments / organizations) that operates in a result-oriented manner, with one clear goal in mind: finalize the project at hand summa cum laude. The people that work for me experience me as a coaching manager that is demanding yet fair and challenges them to take the next step.My contribution is the planning and initiation of activities, defining clear timeframes and targets, involving all stakeholders, make clear and motivated decisions, keep a cool head when the pressure increases, mobilize support, execute fair negotiations with in- and external parties, budget and operational control and, where necessary, be a bridge between Business and IT. The combination of commitment, knowledge and communication skills makes me a respected interlocutor of all concerned, a spider in the web that collects the required information, processes it and shares it with all stakeholders. Often involved are highly regulated industries, whereby the vendor choice (anywhere in the world) is restricted by many rules. Biggest challenges in this project are the mapping of all relevant questions, the legal frameworks (privacy, compliance, export control), the cash flows (receiving payments from all countries and handling them) and obviously the implementation on a global scale. The second activity is to act as an intermediary between companies on low cost countries and the Western market so that Acqyre acts as the sole supplier for the end customer with all the obligations that this entails. This company was established in Netherlands in terms of management because of tax benefits, the execution takes place in Cebu in the Philippines. We have begun with the third activity: the total replacement of an in-house developed application for material management through a combination of standard packages, starting with a complete overhaul of the information architecture with the focus of developing globally reusable components and standard solutions within engineering and project management.Unfortunately Fluor management decided to close the company
