Led feature development, software architecture, and system architecture for all things Profile at LinkedIn. Led re-architecture of LinkedIn's highly-performant, horizontally- scaled Profile web application and supporting SOA stack; performed rigorous performance analysis and certification; smoothly ramped to 100% in production; set up extensive monitoring infrastructure.   Developed multi-tier, horizontally scalable system for processing and serving over 1 million profile updates a week. * Led numerous software release projects involving software developers, QA engineers, and deployment specialists. * Guided projects through requirements gathering, design, implementation, test, deployment, and support. * Managed a team of three software engineers responsible for tools and menu development.. * Architected, implemented, and maintained framework for Point of Sale and Credit Card Service Provider integration. Object Oriented Design Patterns were used throughout (Façade, Adapter, Service Provider Interface, State, Factory). * Forged technical relationships with 3rd party vendors and collaborated with them to design and improve robustness of kiosk integration APIs in their software. * Interacted with customers to manage expectations for delivery of software.

* Developed and maintained order placement, card processing, transport, and messaging libraries. * Led development of every POS Adapter used at EMN8 installed sites today. Used Java, COM, and MFC coupled with a variety of technologies including SOAP RPC, socket-based XML messaging, COM API, and fixed-field request/response protocols. * Defined XML messaging API that is distributed as a template for POS companies seeking to develop support for kiosk integration. This messaging API is being pushed for adoption as an industry standard. * Served as interim Configuration Manager and used Software Configuration Management Patterns to implement Apache Ant based build process and flexible Wise Installer framework that has been used for configuration and deployment of EMN8 kiosk software for 2+ years.

* Architected feature enhancements, aided in project planning, and lead design and code reviews for other staff engineers. * Designed and developed a Universal Chat Client in Java to allow users to simultaneously chat over IRC, Jabber, and Sametime protocols within one user interface. Chat client provided multiple concurrent chatroom windows, instant private messaging, awareness/buddy list, and user profiles. * Lead development for Java Universal Chat Applet, which provided users all of the functionality of the Universal Chat Client from either Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. * Designed and developed web service for gathering, validating and submitting tactical data via SOAP RPC to a data management server. * Developed Database Audit Tool for data scrubbing which detected and resolved invalid, redundant, and conflicting data in Domino databases used for storing tactical data.
