I was born and raised in Central Ohio. In 1998 I graduated from Reynoldsburg High School and began my student career at Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. After graduating from Otterbein I began my professional career at Motorists Mutual Insurance Company as a personal lines underwriter. I quickly developed my insurance business acumen as I worked with agencies to assist in creating profitable books of business. My desire was always to own my own business and Erie Insurance gave me that opportunity by allowing me to start an insurance agency from scratch in New Albany, Ohio. As my family grew, my desire for more stability strengthened and I decided to sell my agency. I transitioned back to the corporate side and began life as a Commercial Underwriter at Grange Insurance. A new opportunity presented itself within Grange and I jumped at it, becoming an Internal Life Sales Rep. In this role I was able to use my interpersonal skills to develop strong relationships with not only my agency force but also the other associates within Grange Life. West Bend Mutual Insurance was always one of my favorite insurance companies to represent when I was an agent. West Bend still operates the way companies use to operate, with an emphasis on building a partnership with the agency force. A good friend of mine, Ted Habak, decided to retire from West Bend opening the door for me to become the new Regional Sales Manager for central Ohio. I was blessed to be an employee of such an amazing company filled with so many amazing associates! An opportunity presented itself and after much deliberation I made the decision to leave West Bend and assume the State VP role for Keystone Insurers Group. I have the pleasure and challenge of managing agency and carrier relationships with many great companies within two very diverse insurance landscapes handling both Ohio and Kentucky. On a personal note, I live in central Ohio with my wife of 17 years, Sara, and two boys, Lucas (13) and Carter (10). When I'm not working and spending time with my family I enjoy drag racing, golfing, playing tennis, hunting, sporting clays, fishing, and pretty much anything else sports related!
