As the first behavioral economics hire at Privacy Analytics, I have had the exciting opportunity to build in-house research from the ground up. I run a fully-functional lab, where we conduct research projects that help to improve the quality of Privacy Analytics' products by better understanding how information is shared, stored, and managed. One of the highlights of my role is being able to share research findings with customers and academic research audiences.In addition, I provide research expertise to the marketing team, helping to create and run surveys and other A/B testing initiatives to better communicate to customers, and to improve information quality of our learning materials online.Responsibilities:-Managing all in-house research projects (research lead), including randomized controlled trials, surveys, focus groups, and A/B testing-Work closely with Analytics and Development teams to develop and implement a research agenda-Build and manage research resources, including selecting and purchasing research tools-Formal and informal deliverables, including webinars for clients, presentations at academic and industry conferences, developing reports and white papers, and regular "lunch-n-learn" seminars-Recipient of the Ontario Centres of Excellence TalentEdge Fellowship, valued at over $170,000

In my role as researcher at CHEO, I conducted independent research projects and supported other researchers in the lab with their work. I consulted on various research projects that broadly focused on how individuals share health information. One of the highlights of my role as a researcher is being able to use my training in behavioral economics to design studies and to discuss policy implications of research outcomes.Responsibilities:-Managing research projects, including randomized controlled trials and surveys-Build and manage research resources, including selecting and purchasing research tools-Presentation and dissemination of research findings, including at academic conferences, in top-tier academic journals, and at invited lectures and policy events

As a post-doctoral fellow, my role was to conduct independent research on sharing behavior, as well as to consult on other lab projects with a "behavioral economic lens". This entailed thinking about data sharing and policy behaviors in terms of how context shapes behavior.
