The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) is a nonprofit organization that aims to alleviate the personal and financial hardships of blood cancer patients. LLS offers a multitude of programs blood cancer patients or their loved ones can apply to for little to no cost. As a Patient and Community Outreach intern, I was trained to contact blood cancer patients in the Tennessee-Alabama region. I also organized meetings with healthcare providers and assisted with events such as the Tri-State Blood Cancer Conference. However, I mainly assisted with the redevelopment of LLS' new website to ensure a more mobile-friendly experience for website visitors. - Utilized Salesforce to contact patients and document interactions- Contributed to increase accessibility of personal support and financial programs- Organized meetings with healthcare providers in the region- Archived or reorganized online publications- Edited unpublished website content as needed
