My name is Ethan Barsczewski I went to Lyman Hall highschool through the FFA program in wildlife biology. Through the four years, we learned many different skills inside the classroom and out. We did many hands-on classes and went out exploring nature by hiking, kayaking, cleaning, and volunteering. We also attained our boating license through the school. From high school, I went to Gateway community college for an A.S in biology while I figured out what to do in the future. From there I decided I wanted to go to welding school. So I attended the Lincoln Technical Institutes welding program. In this program, we went through stick welding position. While in this portion we got our OSHA 30 training finished as well. Then we went into M.I.G welding where we went through all those positions. Lastly, we worked through T.I.G welding where we learned to weld on Mild steel, Stainless steel, and Aluminum in all positions. Throughout the schooling year, we learned how to cut with an oxyfuel cutter. Also, we learned how to read blueprints. I was also on the dean's list multiple times throughout. Other than school I was a part of the Boyscouts of America by the time I finished I achieved Eagle Scout. I learned many different skills that I use today throughout my daily life. I was also in the marching band in highschool and joined the CT hurricanes for 2 years after. I still sometimes play in parades or a community band if they're open. I worked at a couple of different places my first job was at Yawgoog scout reservation where I was a part of the services team. We would go out to the different campsites and make sure they were set or if they needed any tents repaired or switched out. After that, I worked at Masonicare. This was a retirement home where I served the residents and made sure they were kept happy nearing the end of their lives. After that, I went to Elim park which was also a retirement home but the service was more towards five-star dining. Here we worked in teams to make sure that service was spectacular. In my free time in the different places I've worked I always try to go above and beyond. I made sure everything I did I was done correctly and on time.
