Desktop and VR/AR room builders, product configurators and simulation/training applications in the Medical, Industrial and Retail industries.- Started here as a mid level unity developer, currently working as a senior unity developer.- Leading a team of 3 developers on a multi-year long room builder and product configurator project for a medical product company.- Mentoring more junior developers in both hard and soft skills to achieve higher efficiency in this field. For example it could be a coding design pattern they were unaware of or it could be something more personal like cultivating a learning mindset.- Estimating time and budget to complete features for accurate project planning.- Performing code reviews.- Discussing progress, goals and estimates with clients face to face on a consistent, typically bi-weekly basis. - Researching, planning, creating, testing and documenting features with Unity/C#.- Architecting core systems to follow best practices according to standard OOP (Object Oriented Programming) principles and in the Unity environment.- Creative problem solving resulting in weeks/months worth of time and money saved.- Creating documentation resulting in more efficient onboarding for other devs.- Creating features that can be reused throughout multiple projects.- Implementing performance optimization techniques resulting in our applications staying within the desired performance metrics in relation to our target platforms and general performance goals.- Cross platform development for windows desktop and various VR/AR headsets.- Creating UI systems on top of Unity’s built-in UI system.- Reducing bugs clients encounter through manual QA testing.- Working autonomously 95% of the time in relation to oversight.- Working with artists, software engineers, and other content developers to ensure proper implementation according to system specifications.- Managing tasks, deadlines and goals using Jira.
