Takes accountability for the planning and delivery of the Human Resources Project Plans within an overall Capital Projects Plan or Programme of Plans. Responsible for leading the Project HR Plan(s) in line with the wider Project Execution Plan(s) and Programme(s) including defining organisational structure, risk analysis, demobilisation plan and reporting.

I was seconded to the Statutory Smelter Major Shutdown as the HR custodian overseeing all HR Work stream in the project. Duties included ensuring compliance by contractors to the Botswana Labour laws and overall management of HR issues for a staff complement of over 1500 employees & contractors. Main duties included: Ensuring all contractors' permits were secured for the projectLiaising with relevant external and internal stakeholders with regards to the Shutdown projectProviding advice to Line Management on labour issues with regards to the projectAdvising contractors and BCL Management on general Human Resources issues to minimise risk of industrial action (strike)Administration of the contractors campDeveloping & implementing the shutdown project incentive scheme
