Acquired knowledge regarding how electricity is supplied to customers throughout 5 counties in northeast Georgia and North Carolina. Visited multiple sites of pole change-outs, power line construction both overhead and underground, substations sites (working, potential, and newly built), and areas where power lines would be upgraded from single phase to 3-phase power. Became familiar with all areas of the EMC's facility including the engineering department, accounting, human resources, management, construction, dispatch, warehouse, pole yard, and truck shop. Assited with computer planning and upkeep of the electrical system in Windmill, Enghouse, and CresentLink, staked and flagged path of future electrical and fiber optic lines in the field, and created fiber splicing assignments for fiber expansions and daily customer jobs. Engaged with other employees, department directors, Georgia and North Carolina Department of Transportation, and customers regularly to best fit every customer's need.
