I lead Philips state and local government relations efforts. This includes advocating for legislation that impacts any of Philips businesses, managing relationships with state and local government officials, and supporting business development opportunities with state and local government. I frequently work issues relating to some of Philips core priorities, including: telehealth, maternal health, and reducing healthcare inequities. I frequently brief and update senior executives across all Philips businesses on state and local government developments that impact their business. I manage Philips senior manager of state government relations and a network of contract lobbyists across the states.

Lead and plan OFII’s state-level advocacy efforts.Since 2011, have successfully led and resolved member company policy concerns in AL, CO, CT, DC, IN, MA, ME, MT, NJ, NY, OR, RI, TN, TX, VA, and WV by either defeating or amending proposed legislation or budgets, reversing and overturning statutes, or amending regulation.Created the “FDI Frontlines Coalition,” a forum to share industry perspectives with economic development organizations (EDOs). To date, almost 400 EDOs across all 50 states have joined the coalition. Through this platform, I advise EDOs on strategies to attract global investment.Presented as a speaker on topics that relate to state taxation of global companies or state economic development strategies at the International Economic Development Council Annual Conference, Southern Economic Development Conference Annual Conference, Council on State Taxation Annual Conference, PwC’s State Audit Tax Seminar, PwC’s Internal Webcast on State International Tax Issues, and state and local economic development conferences in Missouri, Tennessee, and Minnesota, among other forums. Find, plan, and execute opportunities to highlight OFII’s mission among state policymakers (i.e. policy briefings, panelist speaking opportunities, lobby days, and governor-level events). Responsible for building OFII’s state government affairs program from the ground-up, starting in January 2013.
